Sea Breeze Cocktail
The juicy Sea Breeze cocktail is sweet, sour, and perfect for summer. It's also just 3 ingredients! Shake them up for a little "sea foam" on top of your drink.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka (see note 1)
- 6 ounces grapefruit juice (see note 2)
- 2 ounces cranberry juice cocktail (see note 3)
- 1 lime wedge optional, to garnish
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass (such as a Collins glass) with ice. Add vodka and grapefruit juice and stir to combine. Top with cranberry juice and garnish with a lime wedge.
Notes
- Vodka: Use a fruity flavored vodka if you want to try something different.
- Grapefruit juice: Squeeze it fresh or use store-bought.
- Cranberry juice: Substitute 100% cranberry juice for the cranberry juice cocktail if desired. Your drink will be less sweet overall and will lack the bright pink color.
- Yield: This recipe makes one cocktail.
- Make ahead: Choose convenience over the beautiful gradient in an individual drink by mixing up a large batch of cocktails in advance. For 4 drinks, combine 6 ounces vodka, 24 ounces grapefruit juice, and 8 ounces cranberry juice cocktail. Chill until serving time.
- Foamy: For a little "sea foam" on top of your cocktail, add the vodka, grapefruit juice, and cranberry juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until icy cold, about 30 seconds. Pour into a glass with ice and garnish with a lime wedge.
- November Sea Breeze: A Sea Breeze Mocktail without the vodka.
- Winter Sea Breeze: Substitute gin for the vodka.
- Cape Codder: The original vodka-cranberry cocktail. Pour 2 ounces vodka and 4 ounces cranberry juice over ice, then garnish with a lime wedge.
- Bay Breeze: Substitute pineapple juice for the cranberry juice (also known as a Hawaiian Sea Breeze).
- Ocean Breeze: Add 1 ounce pineapple juice to the recipe below.
